St. Patrick鈥檚 Special School Board of Management invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Principal of St. Patrick鈥檚 Special School under a Permanent Contract of Employment to commence on 2nd November 2026.
St. Patrick鈥檚 Special School, Enniscorthy provides for the needs of students with a Moderate or Severe/ Profound GLD aged 4-18 years. In addition, many students have additional needs such as Downs Syndrome, Autism, physical disability, etc.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
鈥� Be fully registered with the Teaching Council under either Route 1 (Primary), Route 4 (Other) or Route 2 (Post Primary)
鈥� 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary or post primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
鈥� Significant experience with children who have an additional need in the Moderate or Severe/ Profound GLD range, diagnosis of Autism/Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or Special Education Needs is desirable.
鈥� A post-graduate qualification in Special Education is desirable.
