An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Experience in the role of SNA is desirable. SNA level 5/6 qualification is essential.Evidence of CPD is desirable.
The ideal candidate for this role will:
- Have a proven track record of successfully working with children with challenging behaviour in a primary school setting.
- Have a clear understanding of trauma-informed practice.
- Take a neuro-affirmative approach to working with children with an Autism diagnosis.
- Be willing to work cohesively with the classroom teacher to strive for the best possible outcomes for all of our pupils with additional needs.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment which requires a high level of flexibility.
-Training and experience in areas such as LMH, PECS, ABA, MAPA is preferable.
Candidates must be willing to uphold the Ethos of the school. The successful candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team. They must show a willingness to be involved in school activities. They must always respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils and avail of further training as required.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, confirmation of qualifications and occupational health screening.

It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position upon offer of employment.
Job Share Position. Split weeks, 1/2 week on - Thursday, Friday, alternate Wednesdays, 1/2 week off.( Monday, Tuesday alternate Wednesdays)
