An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Brigid’s GNS invites applications for the position of an infant day SNA (0.83
post).
School hours are 08.30am – 1.45pm daily.
Applicants with SNA Supplementary Panel rights should clearly identify this and must furnish a certified copy of a completed PF1 with their application.
Applicants must demonstrate:
An excellent understanding of the role of an SNA and how to address specific care needs of pupils.
An energetic, enthusiastic and flexible attitude with an ability to work well within a team and using their own initiative.
Relevant experience working with pupils with complex needs, autism, communication difficulties, diabetes, epilepsy, emotional and behaviour difficulties, physical disabilities in addition to working with a variety of primary care needs is essential.
Additional qualifications or courses e.g. IT, First Aid, Manual handling, etc are advantageous.
All school staff are expected to engage in relevant CPD as well as completing relevant courses in Child Protection & Safeguarding.
Appointments are subject to vetting and occupational health screening .
