We have two positions on offer:
1 x Permanent part time 0.5 post (16 hours)
1 x Fixed term job share position
The successful candidates may be placed to support pupils in one of our autism special classes, or to support pupils in our mainstream classrooms.
Relevant qualifications as per DEY requirements. Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening, completion of the online TUSLA Child Safeguarding Training and satisfactory references.
Please ensure letter of application and Standard Application Form for SNA posts are both submitted. Please note in application letter if you wish to be considered for both posts.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA supplementary panel, with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed PF1 form with their application.
Permanent part time position:
This is a 0.5 post, from 10.15a.m - 1.27 p.m. Mon – Fri. These times will be reviewed at the end of September. Any changes will not deviate too much from these hours.
Full-time fixed-term
This post is to cover internal job-share position every second Wednesday and every Thursday and Friday.
These roles require flexibility and we are looking for Special Needs Assistants who can be responsive to the ever changing needs of pupils and the school. Teamwork and a willingness to undertake CPD are essential.
Experience of and/or training in working to support children with care needs including Autism, ADHD, sensory needs, emotional and behavioural needs and intimate care needs is desirable.
The successful candidate must be flexible, kind, have a strong work ethic, be able to contribute to our team, work on his/her own initiative and must be available to complete Croke Park Hours throughout the school year.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect student and teacher confidentiality at all times, as well as uphold the Catholic Ethos of the school.
