An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Bhríge & Bhreandáin Naofa is a rural Primary school under the Catholic Patronage of the Diocese of Tuam.

Seeking expressions of interest for two substitute positions.
Position 1 runs until Christmas break. Position 2 runs until Hallowe'en mid-term break.

Candidates must:

Be a fully qualified primary teacher, registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.

Have experience teaching at primary level, ideally including middle/senior classes (3rd–6th class)
Demonstrate a strong knowledge of and ability to implement areas of the revised Primary School Curriculum, including the Primary Language Curriculum and Primary Mathematics Curriculum.
Have a good standard of oral and written Irish, with the ability to teach Irish effectively as part of the curriculum
Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Show evidence of differentiation skills to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Have positive behaviour management strategies.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with parents, colleagues, and external agencies.
Be willing to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school (sport, music, STEM, drama, etc.)
Be supportive of the school's Catholic ethos
Be willing to engage in ongoing Continuing Professional Learning and Development
Comply with Garda vetting requirements and reference checks
