An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Our Lady of Fatima Special School, caters for pupils aged 4 - 18 years who on psychological
testing have a diagnosis of Mild General Learning Disability. Many of our pupils also have a dual diagnosis of ASD and/or other additional needs. Experience working with students with SEN is desirable. Our Lady of Fatima Special School has 12 classes currently and our curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each student. We offer access to the primary curriculum and Junior Cycle (Level 2 & 3), Senior Cycle (Level 2) and LCA. We are seeking teachers with a strong commitment and genuine interest in the education of children with special educational needs, to reach their full potential.
1. Pre-Vocational Class (Junior Cycle Level 2 & Functional Living Skills/Life Skills class
2. Post - Primary 1 Class (Junior Cycle Level 2)
3. Post Primary 2 Class (Junior Cycle Level 2/3) class teacher
4. Post Primary 4 class teacher (Junior Cycle Level 3)
5. Middle Primary class teacher (Primary Cycle) - note this is a job share .5 post
6. Preparation Class, class teacher (Primary Cycle) - Maternity Leave
