An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This post is for Job Sharing, part-time, fixed term in mainstream.
We will be looking to fill two additional specific purpose posts; a Maternity Leave and Parent’s/ Parental Leave.
The Maternity Leave will commence in October 2026.
The Parent’s/Parental Leave will begin on 26/8/2026 and continue until Easter 2027.
Both of these posts will be in mainstream.
St. James’ N.S. is a Catholic school. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education.
St. James’ N.S. is seeking to appoint a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall development of our school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
• Probation
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
• Aistear, Standardised Testing, Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Experience in Infant Education will be advantageous.
Good knowledge of teaching children with SEN
Applications should be clearly marked 'Teacher Application' on the outside of the envelope.
Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify candidates.
Your application must also be accompanied by the contact details of a minimum of 3 professional referees. Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, Teaching Council Registration and teaching practice grades.
