Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will be required to support pupils in the Special Class for Pupils with Autism and/or to support pupils in the mainstream classrooms.
Knowledge, relevant experience, training and an ability to demonstrate a good understanding of ASD, ADHD, sensory needs, medical, EBD and intimate care needs is essential. Training and experience with iPads, laptops and other assistive technologies is desirable.
Responsive to the ever changing needs of the pupils and the school, the successful candidate must be flexible, kind, have a strong work ethic, be able to contribute to the school team, work on his/her own initiative, will be required to provide Garda Vetting and work Croke Park hours.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA supplementary panel, with supplementary panel rights, must submit a certified copy of a completed PF1 form with their application.
